1. Reflection journal - 5 minutes. Take this time to free-write about your art/design classes this semester. Do you see any similarities between the things you are

Do "A Line is a Dot That Went for a Walk" exercise. 4. Discuss the creative process steps- Review Cullen handout. 5. Project 1 (Branded poster project) kick-off! Handouts:Project #1 details and Creative Brief form. We will start researching for our "client" in class for this project.
Homework for Thursday:
Spend an hour at home doing research and working on your creative brief. Bring your working creative brief, plus 2 design samples of your client, to class on Thursday. I want to see that you are researching and thinking about your project. I will go around and check in with you on your creative brief, so be prepared to tell me what you have found out about your client and target audience so far.
Thursday 9/13 - In-Class:
1.12:40-1:10pm: Studio session: Internet research/gathering materials/thumbnail sketching for your Project #1! I will go around and talk through your creative briefs with each of you and check your 2 client samples due today. 2. 1:10pm-1:55pm: Computer lab session: Getting to know Adobe Illustrator.
