At home, finish gathering any image files or fonts you need for your design(s) and finish your 2 concept sketches. Have everything you need for your project concept either ready to scan or in a folder on your flash drive, and be ready to work on your designs on the computer in class on Thursday.
Thursday 9/20 - In-Class:
1. Chapter 2 & 3 intro - Unity and Emphasis & Focal Point overview and examples. 2. Illustrator exercise - Working with Objects and Smart Guides. How to save Illustrator files as high-res PDF. 3. Working computer lab on Project #1. You will be working on your designs with my help. If you chose to do your work on a computer, you need to bring any images or fonts, all in an organized folder for Project #1, TO CLASS with you today on your flash drive.
Homework due Tuesday: 1. If you have access to the design software outside of class (either at home or during computer lab hours), you should absolutely continue working on your design project. Remember to save different versions of it on your flash drive in an organized folder. 2.Read Chapters 2 & 3 of the textbook — Unity, and Emphasis & Focal Point. Quiz #2 on these chapter is due handed in on Tuesday. 3. Please make sure you bring your Project 1 design files on your flash drive for Tuesday. This will be the last class session to work on them before they are due printed and mounted on Thursday!
